Nisa Surah Arabic of 51 verses:

الم تر الى الذين اوتوا نصيبا من الكتاب يؤمنون بالجبت والطاغوت ويقولون للذين كفروا هٰٓؤُ۬لَٓاءِ اَهْدٰى مِنَ الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا سَب۪يلًا

Do not look at those who are given a share from the book: they believe in the powers. For the disbelievers, they say, “They are on the right way than those who believe.”

Interpretation of the 51st Verse of Surat an-Nisa:

In the days after the battle of Uhud, one of the Jewish leaders in Medina, Huyey b. Ahtab and Kaab b. Eşref, taking seventy cavalry from their own religion with them, went to Mecca to make an alliance with the Quraysh. Their purpose was to break their agreement with Muslims and to fight against them. For this reason, they wanted to establish an alliance with the Quraysh. The notables of the Quraysh told them, “You are the People of the Book, you are considered closer to Muhammad than us. They said, so that we can trust you, prostrate to our idols so we can be happy. The Jews also accepted immediately and did what was necessary. Then Abu Sufyan Ka’b b. He said to Eşref: “You read a book, you are a scholar, we are illiterate, we do not know. Tell me, is it the way we take, or is Muhammad’s way more correct? ” asked. Kaab: “What does Muhammad say?” He replied, “He only orders worshiping to Allah and prohibits polytheism.” “What is your religion?” He said, “We are the custodians of the Kaaba, we give water to the pilgrims, we feed the guests, we save the captives, we do this and we do this ..” he said. Thereupon, Ka‘b said, “Your way is better,” and he preferred and explained the pagans to the people of faith. These verses were sent down thereupon. (Wâhidî, Asbâbu’n-nüzûl, p. 160-161)
